Blogtober - Day Thirty

It's the last Sunday in October and the clocks have gone back to Greenwich Mean Time and we have left British Summer Time behind.  A couple of the clocks were put back an hour last night also the heating. One or two more still need to be done.  Not that we've got that many.

It was grey but calm this morning so we went out for a walk locally.  Home made soup when we got home, with homemade rolls.  Very warming and tasty.  Although not much warming was needed as it has been so mild over the last couple of days.

Leek and Potato

Yesterday the leaves were raked up from the lawn but of course, there are more there again today.

They are now in the compost bin.

I didn't take many photos on our walk today so below are a few I took on a walk earlier this week, just from home to the local park where the trees were looking autumnal.

All for now.

  2. A lovely autumnal walk in your park :) The soup looks delicious. This time of year we have a homemade soup once a week. Two days ago tomato soup with a Mary Berry Cheese Scone round :) Sometimes too it is a good way of using up vegetables :)

  3. I enjoy having soup for lunch but would have preferred ice cream this week! It has been good weather for leaf clearing and I should do mine before the weather turns. Hope you have a great new week ahead Rosie. x

    1. I saw on the news that you had had summer temperatures down there. Nothing better than a bit of autumnal sunshine for raking leaves - lots of fun. Hope you have a good week too:)

  5. Good to hear you got another walk in & now our time difference is 11 hours, as our clocks went forward at the beginning of October. Ooh, lunch looks yummy & did your DH make the rolls? You are raking leaves & I'm trying to keep up with clearing Wonga vine flowers from our steps as the wind & rain is battering it and our wisteria. Take care & hugs.

    1. Eleven hours and different seasons. Your comments have made me look up so many things, so I've learned from them - now I must look up Wonga Vine:) Yes, DH did make the rolls, he made bread again yesterday but I made scones:)
