November Trees

It was all about the trees on our walk earlier this week.  They were so beautiful I just couldn't stop taking photos.  Each view seemed more enchanting than the one before as they had one last flourish before preparing themselves for winter.

All photos taken at Trentham Gardens and Estate.

I hope everyone has a lovely weeknd.  Take care.

  3. That was an enjoyable walk Rosie. The trees are glorious. Today the light here is bright, the sky is blue and although it's cold such weather is uplifting. Wishing you a good weekend.

    1. I'm glad you enjoyed the walk, the trees were so beautiful just in that time. Sun and rain here today but still a warmth in the air:)

  4. I love trees in all their forms. The one in the top photo is particularly beautiful! I read on Twitter this week that the old stone pine at Kew Gardens collapsed on 21 October 2022 and had to be felled for public safety. It had stood at Kew for 250 years. These stories make me feel so sad. I hope that the wood can be put to good use. I hope you have a nice weekend Rosie. It has been cold here today but bright. x

    1. Thank you Simone. What a shame about the tree at Kew Gardens. Like you I hope the wood will be used for special things to mark its age. When we were children we lived not far from Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak tree which we used to run around and get inside. It is still there but fenced off and held up by strong metal straps otherwise that too would collapse I'm sure. Sunny and rainy here today - we had a rainbow:)

  5. I love trees and have a huge amount of photos I've taken too. Yours all look gorgeous and that seat is certainly something else. We've lost many trees over the last 2 years in our area due to some pretty fierce storms, but I remember some years ago a tree being taken down beside one of our minor roads through the forest & the fellers told me it to be about 400 years old. Amazing, but it was a hazard with the embankment giving way to torrential rain at the time. Thanks for sharing, take care & hugs.

    1. In the summer the seat get almost hidden by the tree hanging over it. It's surrounded by snowdrops in early February too. It's always a shame when trees come down in winds especially when they are so old. Take care:)
