It's such a grey and dreary day today. All the Autumnal colour seems to be fading now. A heavy mist hangs over the garden and the streets beyond the house. The air outside feels damp on skin. We popped out this morning to do one or two things as tomorrow it is apparently going to rain - a lot. It will probably be a staying in day. The phone is off again, sigh.
Here are some photos of a walk we took last week down to the local park and back.
All photos taken inside the park.
As I type these words the inside light is fading. Soon it will be time to put on a couple of lamps so I can see to read and also to make the room seem cosier. In another hour it will be time to close the blinds againt the day.
All for now.
Well, let me be the first. Lovely trees everywhere. Am about to catch up. Take care, stay safe ❤️❤️Robert 🐰
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you can comment again, blogger seems to have sorted things out for the moment:)
DeleteYour park looks like a restful place for walking and relaxing, as well as observing the slow natural changes of the season.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely park and well kept by the city council and volunteers. It has peaceful areas away from the play areas:)
DeleteIt's as well to make the most of the good days while we can as the weather does seem to be taking a nosedive from tomorrow. 😊
ReplyDeleteYes, woke up to rain this morning which has washed away yesterday's mist. More seasonal weather is on the way:)
DeleteLovely photos from your local park. I love that plant in the last two photos. Weather looks awful here too tomorrow. A day for stopping indoors - I would say in the warm but these days not having heating on until the evening!! These dark evenings are a trifle dismal but soon be Cmas and the nights will start drawing out slowly again!
ReplyDeleteThe Mahonia was lovely as it shone in the sunlight. It gets dull here just after three which is quite depressing at times especially when it has been a dull day too. Raining here this morning but not too cold yet:)
DeleteWow, that Mahonia looks gorgeous and must have smelled lovely. Looks a nice walk through that park & your weather sounds like ours at the moment, though ours is very unseasonable & still raining. Thanks for sharing, take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteThe Mahonia was lovey and stood out against all the other shrubs around. It was a lovely walk, raining here today after yesterday's mists:)
DeleteLovely park walk Rosie. We have a Mahonia in our front garden and it is a stunner all year round - interesting leaves (although super spiny), sweet scented flowers and black berries. We cut it back every few years and within weeks it is putting on fresh growth. Have a good week x
ReplyDeleteMahonias are interesting all year round aren't they and seem to cope with all soils and weather types. Hope you too have a good week:)
DeleteA good place for a walk.
ReplyDeleteIt is William and not far from home:)
DeleteIt good to look back at golden days when November really bites. Gales here at the moment battering against the window. Hard to believe the sunshine of the weekend. Have a good day. B x
ReplyDeleteNovember is possibly one of the hardest months to get through with it's dull greyness and threats of worse weather. Hope the gales don't leave damage in your area Yes hard to believe the sunshine of last week:)
