Thank you WoW we certainly 'went back in time' on this trip:)
DeleteLovely photos Rosie and it looks as though you visited some wonderful places. I remember Betty's tea rooms from our visit to Harrogate :) I can't wait to read and see more.
ReplyDeleteThank you RR, the queue for Betty's went around the corner so we didn't go in for morning coffee - I have been in Betty's in York, a few years ago now:)
DeleteGreat photos of some places I've visited (and some that I haven't). I remember spending a fascinating day at Beamish and I expect it's grown in the intervening years. Looking forward to seeing some more of your travels.
ReplyDeleteThank you John, Beamish had changed since my last visitin the late 80s, there was much more to see - the main town was the same. There is a new 1950s project on the way with housing and etc, many things to be used were in their open to the public storeroom:)
DeleteIt looks like you've been to some wonderful places, I'm looking forward to hearing all about them. 😊

ReplyDeleteThank you Louise, yes I was longing to see the sea and walk on a beach:)
DeleteOh Rosie, now I’m really homesick! I used to live in Harrogate and I still miss it. I also miss the North Yorkshire coast and Saltburn with its cliff lift is another place that I have very fond memories of visiting. How I would love to be walking on that beach! Marie x
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to live in Harrogate, such an elegant city. Saltburn is a favourite place of mine as well as Staithes just down the coast. It was very hot and busy the day we visited but it was lovely to be there and have a ride on the lift and walk just a little way along the beach:)
