This week has gone by so quickly and I feel as if I'm running late with my Five on Friday post but better late than never. We had a walk around the grounds and arboretum at Shugborough this morning so below are five of the photos that I took along the way.
1. Swan on the river which runs through the estate between the Mansion House and the Arboretum.
2. Gloucester Old Spot piglet in the walled garden
3. Robin in the formal gardens
4. English Longhorn cattle in the meadow near the river.
5. Tortoiseshell Butterfly in the flower gardens.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Such beautiful photos, the contrast between the tortoiseshell butterfly and the aster is extraordinary and the swan reflection. You're a very accomplished photographer.
ReplyDeleteThank you Chris, I took so many butterfly photos and only captured the one that seemed any good and yet the swan photo was the only one I took:)
Deletelove your five on friday and yes this week has vanished. have a nice weekendxx
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle and thank you for visiting. I have read your post but can't comment as it wants me to register with google plus and I don't want to do that - I enjoyed reading your post though:)

DeleteThese are lovely photos, I really must visit Shugborough, it's a place I've always wanted to see and have never quite got to.
ReplyDeleteThere is quite a lot to see but some of it isn't NT so you have to pay entry fees - you can get your car parking back on one ticket though. The best bits are the kitchens and farm house:)
