This will also have to be my week thirty three of fifty two weeks of happy post as well mainly because this week has been fairly empty of things to photograph and report on. So here are some things I've noticed this week and things that have made me smile.
From a walk at Consall Country Park.............
Reflections in the fishing lake above and the canal below.....
These ducks made me smile! It took them three attempts to cross the railway line - one led the way the others followed.
From a walk in the woods on the Trentham estate - Light and shade
Light over the city and the cloud above
Sun and shade on the fronds of fern and rhododendron leaves
Also making me smile were.......
A row of VW Beetles at Trentham and..............
Late summer flowers in our garden
Linking up with Little Birdie where '52 weeks of Happy' started. Each week you find just four things that have made you happy to share.

The ducks made me laugh too! I wonder why they didn't just fly over the line?!!! Your garden flowers look lovely. I didn't get as much colour in the garden as I would have liked this year. x
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought Simone but they seemed determined to walk over the track:)
DeleteLove those ducks! I hope there were no trains..
ReplyDeleteNo trains at that time although as we walked along the canalside a little train passed by checking the line ready for the steam trains to start later in the day:)
DeleteLove the ducks and I must admit that I have never seen so many beatles in one place before.
ReplyDeleteWhen we started out walk therre were about 10 beetles and when we came back there must have been 50 or more:)
DeleteSome great things there for the happy things, I like all those Beetles and you have some lovely flowers in the garden too.
ReplyDeleteI'm always sad too when those flowers appear in the garden as I know they are late summer ones and that soon summer will be over:)
DeleteYou can't help but smile when ducks are around, such a 'happy' bird.
ReplyDeleteThey are aren't they? I don't know if it is their shape or their antics:)
DeleteI love the ducks! Sunlight through leaves and reflections on water are magical, aren't they? And you do have some beautiful flowers in bloom in your garden at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI was particularly taken with the sunshine through the leaves in the woods and the patterns of the shadows they made:)
DeleteYou could frame that first photograph! So lovely xxxxx
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was quite pleased with it:)xxxx
DeleteWhat a lovely amount of green you have captured in your photos, the ferns in particular look luminous.
ReplyDeletethe ferns did look wonderful in the shaded sunlight such an acid green:)
DeleteThat first photo is stunning.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda I was rather pleased with how it turned out:)
DeleteLovely reflective photos - you managed to capture some great images.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elaine it was a lovely day of sunshine and shadows:)
DeleteStunning photos Rosie and I too love the ducks. Some lovely reflections.

Thanks, Patricia - the ducks were funny just as if they were having lessons in how to cross a railway track safely:)
