Seaside and Strawberries

We've been away in Wales for a few days.  When we got home the first strawberries of the season had ripened after spending lots of weeks looking hard and green.

The first sweet pea flowers had opened up as well.

I've popped a few photos of where we've been below and I'll be back with more on some of them in a later post.

All for now.

    1. Thank you Sal. I didn't take too many photos this time as we didn't walk too far in the heat and just sat for a while with an ice cream in the shade. We've been lucky enough to visit many times over the years. The rose garden was stunning so the camera came out them:)

  4. Now you've got me wanting strawberries - must remember to add them to my shopping order. Although I've been to most parts of these islands I've somehow never got to North Wales, so I'm looking forward to more photos.

    1. Thank you Caroline. Just a few days, wish it could have been longer. It was good to find red strawberries, they had been green for so long without any sunshine to ripen them. I hope you are okay:)

  6. Oooh fantastic, it looks like you've had a great holiday and have been to lots of interesting places. What a treat to come home to strawberries and sweet peas as well. I have fond memories of Bodnant Gardens from 40 years ago with their laburnam arch. I look forward to seeing what else they have there nowadays. 😊

    1. Thank you, yes we had a good time. I didn't take many photos at Bodnant as we popped in for lunch and then just sat in the shade for a while. We've been several times before so didn't venture down to the farthest part of the garden as it was too hot. We wandered around the rose garden:)

  8. Your strawberries are looking wonderful. Amazing how they can ripen in just a few days. I had to net mine after the first few disappeared!! Sweet peas are a wonderful summer planr especially if you can keep picking the. Mine are not doing well, probably too shadier spot this year.
Glad you enjoyed your few days away and I look forward to hearing more of your adventures.
