On 1st December we went to Lichfield to visit the Cathedral where they were holding their Christmas Tree Festival. I took quite a few photographs. It was a cold Thursday morning and there weren't many people inside so we were able to take time to look at all the different trees. They had been decorated by local schools, charities and businesses all very different but all equally pleasing.
Beautiful Advent Candles
The Cathedral is so beautiful inside. Sorry just a few words today as I'm not feeling too well at the moment. I hope you enjoy the photos.
All for now. Take care.
Oh gosh Rosie! it looks so beautiful there. Thanks so much for sharing the photos as I doubt I will have time now to visit. It does look nice and quiet there certainly much quieter than when we went. I've been trying to look for more local Cmas Tree Festivals but drawing a blank at the moment. It is something I do enjoy attending at Christmas or I did pre Covid!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you don't feel well. I hope you feel a lot better soon. Take care.
Thak you RR. It was quite beautiful and very quiet too. I think we chose a good day to visit. I'm beginnig to feel a bit better now I have extra medication to help. You too take care:)
DeleteA lovely "snap"shot of the cathedral and trees. The children have done well. Please take care of yourself during winter & I'll be in touch soon. Big hugs from down under.
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan, the trees were lovely. It is so cold here today, no snow just thick frost. Hugs to you too:)
DeleteThese are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed:)
DeleteGet well quickly Rosie.
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas trees in Lichfield Cathedral are lovely.
Thank you, feeling a bit better now. The trees and the whole place were beautiful such a joy to visit:)
DeleteSo sorry you are under the weather, Rosie. The photos are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Granny Sue, feeling a bit better today:)
DeleteThat's fantastic! A lot of thought has gone into all the decorations and all set off in such a beautiful setting. Sorry to hear you're not well, hope you feel better soon. 🎄😊
ReplyDeleteThank you, feeling a bit better now. All the people had thought about the trees and what they wanted them to represent, they were all lovely:)
DeleteThe Christmas Tree Festival in Lichfield Cathedral must have been a delightful experience. It's a wonderful setting for such an event. We usually go to the one in Castleton in Derbyshire and have missed the tradition of going there in recent years. I hope you are feeling a little better. Thank you for sharing. May you have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt has become a tradition to go to the tree festival at Lichfield so it was good to go back this year. I love Castleton at Christmas with all the lights but haven't been for ages. Thank you for your kind words, new medication has helped and I'm feeling a bit more myself now:)
DeleteThanks for sharing Rosie. I haven't been anywhere or done anything Christmassy so it is nice to see things vicariously! I am sorry you have been feeling unwell Rosie and hope that you have a healthier 2023! Take good care of yourself. x
ReplyDeleteThank you Simone. I hope you can get out to do something Christmassy over the next week. Somehow I'm not really into it this year. Take care:)
