On Monday

After the blustry, tree bending winds and torrential rain of yesterday today was rather different.

 We had snow.

In the space of two hours it came down, gently at first then with gathering speed and intensity.  Now the sun is shining, there is blue in the sky amongst the soft grey clouds and the snow is disappearing almost as quickly as it came.

    1. Thank you RR, isn't it lovely how a light dusting of snow makes everywhere look pretty for a while, doesn't look so good today, still snowy and windy here. Love the robin, I think he wanted more mealworms:)

  4. Oh how pretty! That's just how it should be, there and gone again without a fuss. Red stands out so well in the snow doesn't it. 😊

    1. Thank you Karen, in two hours the whole garden was covered about half of it has gone now but the road outside looks slushy and slippy. You can always spot a robin in the snow:)

  7. crikey! that is quite something but you have taken some absolutely beautiful shots. We just had gales and a load of rain and lightening (blew the shed roof off) but no snow!
Thanks for popping by. Helen and boys xxx

    1. Thank you Helen, most of the snow has gone now. The shed roof blowing off sounds quite drastic, hope it can be put back easily:)

    1. Thank you Lorrie, both robins visit regularly, I never know which is the male and which the female, they like the suet sprinkles and the meal worms we put in the window feeder for them. Snow has disappeared as quickly as it came:)

  11. Oh how lovely, you had a bit of winter, even if it hasn't lasted! We've only had very heavy hailstones pretending to be snow so far!

  12. I think I would prefer the softly falling snow to the horrendous gales and floods! Your garden looks delightful Rosie especially with all the visiting wildlife and excellent photos. I don't remember the last time we had snow here. I hope it hits before Easter when it sometimes puts in an appearance! I am glad the sun has come out for you at last :)
