Scavenger Photo Hunt - March

It's time for the Scavenger Photo Hunt again and this month's words/prompts are Flat, Wheel, Swing, Ragged, Pot, My own choice

Flat - as a pancake, photo taken on Shrove Tuesday when we had pancakes for lunch.

Wheel - well two on a cycle hanging on the wall of a pub or club in Congleton, Cheshire.

Swing - photo taken in the Nicholson Institute Museum and Library in Leek where there is an exhibition called 'Through the Eyes of a Child' these were fairground toys.

Ragged - I didn't get to see and photograph a Ragged School in Sneinton, Nottingham (now the headquarters of the Nottingham Wildlife Trust)  as I had planned to do but I did find a packet of Ragged Robin seeds at a local garden centre.

Pot - Found on Priesty Fields, Congleton in 1992 and full of coins dating from the reign of Edward VI (1547-1553) through to the reign of Charles II with coins dated as late as 1670. From a display at Congleton Museum.

My Own Choice - Lots of daffodils at Trentham Gardens, Stoke-on-Trent they looked lovely in the sunshine.

Thank you to Kate at I live, I love I Craft blog for organising.  Click on the link below to find others joining in this month.

  1. I was trying to find a photo I have taken of ragged robin last summer but couldn't find it. They are such beautiful flowers. Great shot for wheels and the flat pancake. X

  3. What a lovely selection of photos to match the words. The daffodils at Trentham Gardens look so pretty. The pancake looks delicious! :) The bicycle on the wall is very unusual and it goes without saying I rather like the pack of seeds!! :) Have a good week Rosie.

  4. Lovely photos Rosie. I loved your take on flat & the pancake looks delicious too. You've also jogged my memory with the swingboats & how we saw them at fairs that traveled around the countryside to agricultural shows etc. and the bevy of daffodils is stunning. Thanks for sharing & have a good weekend.

  8. An interesting set of photos for the scavenger hunt photo challenge. I'm sure you enjoyed finding images that represented each word. I like your interpretation of 'flat' which made me think of 'as flat as a pancake'. Very good! I hope you are well after your dental appointments and you have a relaxing weekend.

  9. Another interesting interpretation of this month's words. We have Ragged Robin growing in our fields but I've still to get a decent photo of them! That was my original idea for ragged but had to change my mind. I never tire of seeing daffodils, never. So for me that is my favourite photo.

    1. Thank you, my first thought on ragged was The Ragged Schools but very few are still standing so I was pleased to see the Ragged Robin seeds in the garden centre. Daffodils are so bright and cheerful aren't they:)
