Winter Trees
Black branches against a grey sky
Standing in fields
and at the side of the road
So bare
and yet so beautiful
Standing against buildings
In parks by the lake
Looking as cold as we feel and yet sheltering us too
whilst enhancing the view.
Photos taken yesterday in the village of Tissington and the town of Buxton in Derbyshire
Lovely photographs. At least when they are bare we can see through to what's behind!

DeleteIt is wonderful to be able to see the shape and structure of trees in the winter isn't it. xx
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed, Amy - they take on quite a different shape don't they?:)
DeleteThose are wonderful photos. I've always been rather fond of winter trees myself. There's something magical about them - with their lives on hold, just waiting to burst into leaf in Spring.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann - they are rather special at this time of year, each season has its own beauty:)
DeleteGreat tree silhouettes! x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Simone the lack of colour makes them fascinating doesn't it?:)
DeleteI love to see the trees like this in winter. They are beautiful in their leafless form too. Marie x
