Over the last few days
I've been making jam
Enjoying the fruits of the season
Making summer pudding
enjoying the flowers in the garden
and in the house
and also enjoying the produce from the greenhouse.
I love to wander, exploring places old and new but sometimes it is just good to be at home.
I couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteHome Sweet Home for us then:)
DeleteEnjoying the season's produce is very satisfying.
ReplyDeleteIt is isn't it? Both from the garden and the shops. It is good to walk into the garden and pick stuff though:)
DeleteYou have been busy - can't beat a bit of jam making. Lovely produce from your garden - I didn't realise you grew veg.
ReplyDeleteWe don't grown much veg I'm afraid. A couple of raised beds and the greenhouse. Usually it's potatoes, beans, tomotaoes and courgettes nothing else seems to grow very successfully:)
DeleteYou have grown an abundance of fruit and flowers Rosie. I haven't made summer pudding in years and I do love it so much! x
ReplyDeleteOh, make a summer pudding, Simone - ours lasted for three meals and tasted lovely with both yohurt and ice cream:)
DeleteThere is indeed "no place like home" :-) Have a happy weekend, xx
ReplyDeleteYou too, Gilly:)
DeleteThat looks good. I must go foraging this weekend to see what I can find. It's nearly sloe gin season.
ReplyDeleteIt won't be long. Blackberries first then the rosehips and sloes - such a great time of year:)
Deletecouldn't agree more! Home is definitely the place to be at this time of year - the colours are just so beautiful as summer winds down into autumn - those plums are so gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteLate summer is so rich and colourful isn't it? The plums do taste wonderful - at the moment we have a basket full waiting to be dealt with:)
DeleteI love being at home, but then I always have. I like pottering in the kitchen, trying new recipes and at this time of year, making goodies like jam and pickles from the bountiful fruits and vegetables of the season.
ReplyDeleteHappy cooking Rosie!
Marie x
