Blogtober - Day Ten

There was such a beautiful moon last night and even though it rained overnight this morning so far has been filled with sunlight.  No photos of the moon from either last night or this morning when it was still visible over the horizon.

This morning we walked around the lake at Trentham.  Canada geese in their v shaped skeins were flying over making a cacophany of noise as they landed.  Today's walk seemed to be all about shadows and reflections.  Lots of fungi too and other signs of Autumn but I'll write about those later this week.

 Reflections through the trees.

Shadows on the bark

Sunlight on fungi
and across the grass

One of the dandelion sculptures reflected on the grass.

The sky was blue and the water in the lake rippled in the sunlight.

One of the black swans was admiring its reflection or perhaps it was staring into the water before plunging its head under to find food.

I'll be back tomorrow after I've collected my new glasses from the optician.
