A Morning Walk

As we walked around the lake this morning  the weather was warm and damp.  At the start of the walk there were  gentle spots of rain in the air,  By the end of the walk this had turned into a more persistent drizzle.  At eleven o'clock we sat quietly by the lake for just a few minutes to remember and say thank you.

Below are some highlights from the walk.

Autumn was certainly in the air.

We stopped at the cafe halfway round the lake for a coffee.

We are back home now and dried off.  There is an online chat with friends to look forward to this afternoon and then 'flu jabs tomorrow!

All for now. Take care.

  1. You've been doing the same thing as us today, although we didn't have a lake! It's been quite sunny here and warm too although I think we just got back in time as it's quite cloudy now. I love the face, it seems quite apt for today and you've found some excellent fungi. Good luck with the flu jab tomorrow. 😊

    1. Thank you, there were so many different varieties of fungi and quite large too. It is obviously a good year for them. Warm and damp here today not a glimmer of sun:)

  2. Excellent close ups of the fungi.

Here we have clear skies and temperatures just over the freezing mark this morning.

  3. Lovely autumnal photos Rosie and a wonderful selection of fungi. It looks a great walk despite the rain!

Good luck with the flu jab - we had ours about a month ago and this week was the booster (pfizer this time). Thankfully, touch wood no side effects apart from a sore arm!

    Take care.

    1. Thank you RR. I loved the fungi and the drizzle around the lake it was very atmospheric somehow. We had our flu jabs early October last year but when we rang to enquire about them we were told to ring at the end of October as they had run out of vaccines. We never heard anymore so booked at our local Boots for them. Booster jab is booked for week after next. We seem to be a bit behind other places here. Hope the arm isn't as sore now:)
