It looks wonderful Rosie! I hope I get to see the sea this year. Wherever you went it looks beautiful. Have a lovely weekend. x
ReplyDeleteThank you Simone, I hope you get to see the sea too:)
DeleteBeautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteThank you William:)
DeleteAh to see the sea. How I know that feeling. The pics capture your text to perfection. I fantasise about creating Nottingham-on-Sea by cutting us adrift along the line of the Trent and Trent Bridge would be where ferries arrived and departed. The width of the Irish Sea would suffice. In a meantime once the days cool down I feel a visit to my daughter Alicia’s ‘Happy Place’ coming on - Mablethorpe.
ReplyDeleteNottingham by the sea would be perfect for you, everything you love in one place. I hope you can visit Mablethorpe soon. I have a photo taken there when I was about 7 or 8, I'll send it to you - the 50s fashions by the sea are very funny:)
DeleteWelcome home!
ReplyDeleteDelightful!
Thank you:)
DeleteMake sure you do...lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike, I always long to see the sea. I was very pleased with my photo of Morfa Brychan:)
DeleteLovely photos of your getaway. We've been away for two weeks, on our little boat. The sea is a wonderful, relaxing escape. You sound refreshed from your few days away.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lorrie, I'll visit soon to see where you have been on your boat:)
DeleteIt certainly looks lovely. Glad you enjoyed your break. 😊
ReplyDeleteThank you, yes it was lovely and nice to have some rain:)
DeleteIt looks idyllic the perfect getaway.
ReplyDeleteThank you, yes it was:)
DeleteWelcome back! Lovely photos - it looks idyllic and so peaceful and relaxing wherever you were. The garden in the top photo is beautiful. Have a lovely weekend and so pleased you enjoyed your break.
ReplyDeleteThank you, the garden was lovely and quie high with wonderful views - nice coffee and bara brith too:)
DeleteThere was an event near me recently called 'Halifax by the Sea'. I saw the notices but it was too late to go. Halifax is a long way from the sea so it was a bit tantalising to see the notice. Bringing the seaside to towns seems a fun idea . . . but there's nothing like the smell of the real thing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lucy, it always seems a fun thing for the summer holidays to bring the beach inland - but you are right nothing can compare with that salty, seaweedy smell in the air:)
DeleteIt looks lovely! I'm feeling very in need of a break myself, but I have a busy summer ahead so I'll have to wait a little longer!
ReplyDeleteHope you manage to take a little time out during your summer break, Louise:)
DeleteLovely Rosie. The sea air & scenery seems to blow the cobwebs away & cleanse the soul for me & re-energise. Looks like a pretty place. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan. It was lovely to get away just for a few days and the scenery certainly lifted our spirits:)
DeleteI'm glad you were able to get away to somewhere so idyllic. There's nothing better than a change of scene with the opportunity to relax and do the things you both enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. We did need a change of scene for a few days, it was lovely just to be somewhere different for a while:)
DeleteNothing nicer than a beachy break. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was lovely to see the sea, first time this year:)
DeleteIt looks and sounds like the perfect break. I am looking forward to reading more about it. x
ReplyDeleteThank you Mrs T, it was a very short but lovely break:)
Deleteone of our most favourite places! Hope you are renewed after your break xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Lyn, I know you love that area too:)
DeleteI’m glad you had some time away, I know it’s hard for you with your aged cat. The photos are lovely showing a beautiful part of Wales. B x
ReplyDeleteThank you Barbara, we are lucky our neighbour is used to animals in particular elderly ones so she can cope with Max for a few days, I wouldn't want to leave him for more than three or four days as he is very hard work to keep clean and tidy:)
