Home Again

Well, I'm back from my Welsh adventure!  I've plenty to tell you about my visit and I've had a wonderful time with some old friends but for some reason I'm so very tired - I spent yesterday just pottering around unpacking my bag, putting washing through the machine, catching up on mail and e-mail and sitting reading and I admit it, occasionally snoozing over, a good book.

Today we went for a stroll around the lake at Trentham and I took just a few photos.......

Catkins

A heron

Marsh Marigolds

Pure white Daffodils or Narcissi

Orange Tulips

I'll be back soon with some photos of the B&B we stayed at in Pennybont and of the spa town of Llandrindod Wells or as the locals call it 'Llandod'.

  2. I love the photo of the heron.

I understand how you feel after your trip to Wales. I have spent the last three days travelling between home and Cumbria (via Yorkshire) and feel ready for bed now!

  3. Great shot of the heron! I feel so tired from cutting things back in the garden for the past two days. Have a nice rest Rosie. Maybe the sunshine has gone to our heads and made us feel so sleepy! x

  4. I am a native of the Potteries and lived in Trentham for many years before moving to Orkney. I do so enjoy your visits to the park and gardens and just wanted to thank you for sharing them :-)

  5. Lovely pics. Llandod is great - the big old hotel there is amazing - is it called The Metropole? Like going back a century. x
