Home Again

Well, I'm back from my Welsh adventure!  I've plenty to tell you about my visit and I've had a wonderful time with some old friends but for some reason I'm so very tired - I spent yesterday just pottering around unpacking my bag, putting washing through the machine, catching up on mail and e-mail and sitting reading and I admit it, occasionally snoozing over, a good book.

Today we went for a stroll around the lake at Trentham and I took just a few photos.......

A heron

Marsh Marigolds

Pure white Daffodils or Narcissi

Orange Tulips

I'll be back soon with some photos of the B&B we stayed at in Pennybont and of the spa town of Llandrindod Wells or as the locals call it 'Llandod'.

  1. Delightful signs of spring in your photos Rosie ~ enjoy a restful weekend.

  2. I love the photo of the heron.

I understand how you feel after your trip to Wales. I have spent the last three days travelling between home and Cumbria (via Yorkshire) and feel ready for bed now!

  3. Great shot of the heron! I feel so tired from cutting things back in the garden for the past two days. Have a nice rest Rosie. Maybe the sunshine has gone to our heads and made us feel so sleepy! x

  4. I am a native of the Potteries and lived in Trentham for many years before moving to Orkney. I do so enjoy your visits to the park and gardens and just wanted to thank you for sharing them :-)

  5. Lovely pics. Llandod is great - the big old hotel there is amazing - is it called The Metropole? Like going back a century. x

  6. Great photo of the heron. You have really captured spring in your photos. Looking forward to hearing more about your trip.

  7. Perfect photos to say "Hello, Spring!" Looking forward to the posts about your trip!

  8. Looks gorgeous. We've been away down South and I shall be posting some photos soon. I look forward to hearing about your trip.

  9. Bet you have been burning the candle at both ends! Glad you had a great time and can't wait to see your photos. I always think Herons look prehistoric.xxxx

  10. Ooh! Love these colorful flower photos!
