Apart from keeping the greenhouse and raised beds watered and some grass mowing very little has been done in the garden over the last week. I'm going through one of those phases where I know there are things to be done but somehow I can't settle to do anything very much; so whilst the dusting and vacuuming needs doing and another huge pile of ironing needs tackling I've just been drifting through the days ignoring it all. We have managed to get out of the house on a couple of walks so here are some photos from those.
A train full of Brownies - apparently over the weekend it was the 100th birthday of the Brownies and some of them had taken over the Churnet Valley Railway for the weekend.
Lovely photos - you should always put "playing out " over "housework". The housework always waits!!!!! The cave looks interseting - the kids would love it.
ReplyDeletethe ironing can wait! you might as well enjoy the sunshine whilst it lasts, we have so very little of it!
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are a pleasure to behold, a real tonic in fact.
Sometimes it's good to just "drift"!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your walk... so lovely and green.
I,also, can't seem to settle to anything at the moment. I am less well organised than when I was working full time..We are going away on thursday and will be away 17 days. What's going to happen to my garden?
ReplyDeleteI quite agree - the housework can always wait if something else takes your fancy!
ReplyDeleteI've been to Thor's cave- years ago when the children were really small - we had a struggle getting the little one up but he loved it when we finally managed!
I can't wait for the day when I can just do what I want to do, when I want to do it it - it must be great fun!

Oh forget the ironing-it's too nice to stay in doors!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos from your walk.

Lovely photos from your walk Rosie. The cave looks fascinating. I bet it was like St Trinian's on that train!
ReplyDeleteI've been in a bit of a daze myself - a busy time socially combined with work commitments has left many unfinished jobs in the cottage and garden - not that I'm complaining - I'll catch up eventually!!
Love the photo of Chloe from your previous post - she's gorgeous!

What wonderful photographs. It just shows--sometimes doing nothing in the house is a very Good Thing!
ReplyDeleteLovely places to go to! I enjoyed visiting them through your photos.
ReplyDeleteI got my ironing out of the way yesterday afternoon. Such a relief when it's done but it doesn't take long for the cycle to begin all over again... ;-)
Warm wishes
