Out in the Garden

This morning we took a walk around the gardens at Bridgemere Garden World.
I wanted to see what flowers were out and about.  Many are flowering quite early because of the mild weather we've been experiencing but our own garden is lacking in colour at the moment; it is just wet, grey and quite uninspiring.  Having said that we are having some lovely visitors to the bird feeders including a pair of thrushes which are a delight to see but far too quick to photograph at the moment.

Here are some of the flowers and plants we found at Bridgemere.

 Cyclamen

 Daphne Jacqueline Postill

 Hellebore

 Snowdrops

 Hebe

 Euphorbia

 Another Hellebore

 Witch hazel

 Rhododendron - Christmas Cheer

 Daffodils

Viburnum

The gentle raindrops added to the beauty of the flowers.
Wishing you all peace and happiness in 2016.

    1. Yes, I was surprised to see the rhododendron but when I looked it up it does flower at this time of year, hence it's name I suppose. Happy New Year to you too:)

  3. It was drizzly all day here so we didn't do anything much, but a walk around a garden would have been lovely. Thanks for sharing yours.

  5. How pretty, so many of ours are blooming that I fear that when spring comes we'll have no flowers at all.

    1. Yes, nature is certainly confused this year. I hope we don't get a late winter to spoil all the crops:)

  6. Peace and happiness to you too Rosie! The colourful flowers are just what I need right now. I don't think I can remember such a long period of gray, damp, gloom!

    1. I could cope if it got colder and crisper; it is this grey, over warm dampness I don't like but I think this is the way winters are going to be over the next few years:)

    1. I just hope we don't get a harsh winter now to spoil all these flowers that are confused about the time of year:)

  8. Our own garden has everything about to bloom, I just hope that they will revisit once they realise how confused they are with the time of year! Have a wonderful 2016! xx

    1. Hope you too have a wonderful 2016, Chel. Nothing blooming in our garden yet except heather and holly. Hope when they do appear we don't get frosts to spoil them:)

  9. There's nothing but greenery in our garden at the moment although bulbs are shooting through. I'm sure I would find more colour in our local walled garden, but what with the rain and my husband waiting in the car I rushed in and out of the library yesterday without taking a look. All the best for the new year Rosie.

    1. We just have the greenery too and a bit of purple heather, nothing else coming through as yet. This rain certainly curtails any walks or trips out doesn't it? Best wishes for 2016 to you too:)

  10. What beautiful winter colour Rosie. It brought cheer to my day as I look out the window at a garden covered with snow. Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2016. Marie x

    1. Thank you Marie. Hope 2016 is good to you. Snow! I love to see it and it would feel more like winter her if we had it but it does make life difficult doesn't it?. Take care:)
