This morning we awoke to find more snow. We had our first downfall of snow on Friday but that had almost disappeared yesterday. Here it was back again.
The Robin was anxiously waiting for his mealworms as I wandered around the garden topping up the feeders and taking photos.
The pond is frozen over, as it was a lot of last winter, but the wildlife in there seems to survive each year.
The squirrels were out and about looking for food and leaving tracks and trails all over the garden
I'm sure the snow will disappear quite quickly as it is already very soft on the branches of the trees, dropping gently to the ground with soft, gentle thuds.

You had quite a lot of snow didn't you? Your garden looks really pretty. No snow here but it was extremely icy and is going to be bad again tonight I think.
A lovely wintery scene, especially with the Robin. We had a flurry of snow but it didn't settle. The wildlife look very content in your garden. x

In Leek we've had snow on a few days this month but nothing significant - no snowmen or school closures!
It snowed all day long on Friday and Saturday and the roads closer to home (like between the roaches and buxton) were bad but it didn't manage to hang around elsewhere, it was very wet snow that soon turned to slush. I've been wishing for a snow day but no luck!
Lovely photos - it does add a bit of chrismas-y-ness to things!
I can't believe we have NO snow at all, lots of ice but no snow...compared to last year when we had loads for Christmas day. you have some lovely photos there!

The robin picture looks lovely. It was a nice surprise today.
Ooo. We went over to Denstone on Saturday and saw snow on the hills - but we still haven't had anything that settled here (crossed fingers, touch wood etc)
It looks pretty - but I really don't like having to deal with it.

Wow - I'm amazed how much snow you had! Today we've had an epic amount of rain over here. At least it's supposed to be getting milder by the end of the week!

Gosh ,you did have a lots of snow.I am so glad it didn't happen last weekend when we were over in the Peak District!!Its great watching the birds in the garden isn't it.The blackbirds are rapidly eating up the berries off our cotoneaster tree.They are yellow which are usually the last to go.
I am guessing that by now your snow has melted away just like ours. It was indeed very pretty whilst it lasted as your photographs testify. I love that cheeky little robin!
And you went to Little Moreton Hall! I am asking myself why we did not? I am kicking myself as it is so close.
