Snowdrop

What fragile beauty you display
to guide us on our wintry way.
Your petals white and oh, so pure
bring hope and light to reassure
that just as night turns into day,
then spring will follow, come what may.

  5. Its always lovely to see the snowdrops return - they are not this big in your garden already are they? The poem you wrote is lovely. I thought about you as I was trudging over the hills on Sunday - it was the first forray into Derbyshire in ages! The better weather cannot come soon enough. xxx

  10. Your poem is meaningful to me because my back yard has never been such a mess, after trees got pruned and then the pruner got sick, leaving bits of branches all around. It's too wet to do anything right now, and there is nothing lovely out there--except some snowdrops!
