Foxglove on Cannock Chase

We had a lovely walk on Cannock Chase this morning. It was warm and sunny after the last few rainy days so we tried to make the most of it as rain is expected again tomorrow. As soon as we got home I mowed the lawns, strimmed the edges and cleared the moss from under the garden seat whilst Paul made pizza for tea and enough bread to last us the rest of the week. All very ordinary stuff; I'm afraid I haven't many words at the moment - writer's block perhaps?

  1. Hello Rosie

It's enough to know you're there, still thinking and doing everyday things. A walk here, a journey there, a chore in the house, a few quiet moments in the garden. A pace of life I aspire to, as does Susan. Instead we put our noses to the grindstone when we could survive if we didn't and I take take up issues and do things instead of leaving it to others. Don't think of it as writer's block, think of it as a time of hibernation. Before long, your thoughts will uncurl from their slumber and will be inspiring us all again. See, you've inspired me already to put pen to paper.

    Love

  5. Hello, Rosie. My little three-year-old grandson is fascinated by foxgloves since a buzzing attracted him to the patch in our garden and he saw a large bumble bee emerging from a flower. On hearing the name "foxglove" he was a little perplexed, but he and his twin sister have, since then, successfully fitted their fingers into the flowers, so are now convinced that, sometimes, foxes wear the prettiest gloves!
(I am still enjoying entering Stubbs data and will be back!)

  6. Hello Muriel - what a lovely story about your grandchildren and the foxgloves - thank you for sharing it.
That's made my day. I have a notebook full of my latest jottings I need to organise on both Stubbs and Limbs - thanks again for the notes you sent me:)
