Christmas Day was quite bright and dry but Boxing Day and yesterday were damp and dreary the air heavy with fog. I can't remember seeing a fog like yesterday's for a long time and those we did experience were usually a month earlier. How strange the weather is at times. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be kinder at the end of next week as we have to travel into Nottinghamshire for a funeral. No fog or snow please!
I took a few photos as we walked around both lakes.
There's always a Robin to bring a bit of colour and cheer.
Not sure what the Black Headed Gull is looking at above. It has spotted something.
Great plops of dew were falling from the trees some making ripples in the water others falling on passers by. There were a few hardy fishermen at the side of the lake.
It looks like a damp but enchanting walk, Rosie. I so love seeing the English Robin. I remember when I saw it the first time. I was so excited!

DeleteIt's great to get out for some fresh air no matter what the unpredictable weather is doing, although we all hope it will behave itself! The little Robin looks so cheery with his red beast. 😊

DeleteDespite the damp and mist Rosie, it looks a lovely walk and good to get out after being in the house for a few days. Love the photo of the teasels. I hope the weather improves by the end of the week when you have to travel.

DeleteMr Robin is guaranteed to bring some bright cheer wherever he shows up. It does seem like we have had some heavy fog days here too but it is good to get out even if you can't see to the other side of the lake. A bit of mystery is always fun.

Thank you Beverley. Yes, Robins always cheer and don't seem to mind posing for a photo or two. We have snow here now, thankfully it allowed us to get home from our travels before it fluttered down:)
