What a great idea to make a photo cube, a real momento of your pretty garden to look back on in the future and remember this hot, dry summer. Your pizzas look delicious, I could just fancy one of those now! It's great that the vegetables have done so well. There seem to be signs of an early Autumn everywhere and the countryside and gardens are so dry and so desperately need some rain.

Lovely to see the little newt and your pond looks so lovely. The quiches and pizzas look delicious and a great way of using up garden produce. . The cube is beautiful - what a thoughtful and kind surprise for you. I always find August a happy/sad month I don't know why perhaps it's because I'm another year older, perhaps its thinking about the year creeping into winter. We always end up with too many courgettes I like the name Zucchini for them, also egg plant for Aubergine we have a plant of those in the greenhouse but nothing as yet, just a small purple flower. Take care:)Rosiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04733563829902335223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11621908.post-34406647336692093132022-08-06T09:04:47.009+01:002022-08-06T09:04:47.009+01:00Thank you Simone. The grass on the top lawn under the tulip tree stays out of the sun for a lot of the day so it seems to stay green, the side lawn is looking a bit sad now especially the areas we have left unmown and the front lawn is yellow. And the end of this month sees us turning another year older! I felt like I was seeing my garden at the start of those photos, with our pond and a big patch of shasta daisies.(giggle) Our pond is full of tadpoles at the moment, so will be given a good clean out once they've grown & moved on. The cube is very cute & I passed over some zucchini cake recipes not long ago, to a blog friend, as she had a glut too. The pizzas and quiche look wonderful - I could imagine them taking pride of place in an artisan bakery. I like your flower cube - lovely garden memories for you.
