Imagination

When I'm riding my exercise bike overlooking the garden I can imagine that I am cycling down a country lane under a canopy of trees, or across a coastal path overlooking the sea, or cycling through a typical English village past cottages with thatched roofs and roses around the door or in the realms of academe cycling to studies at an ancient college with books in the basket at the front of the bike.

Classic

I loved this little chap.  Just one day old when I took the photo he is a white-naped Crane at Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park in Norfolk.

  3. Nice pictures. I only have one friend who still writes letters, she's a 2nd cousin of my husband and I adore her. She's 83 and still travels the world.

    1. I must admit that I mostly e-mail now but I still send cards for birthdays and etc and letters to a distant cousin about family history as he isn't on the internet:)

    1. I let my mind wander when I'm exercising because I find it so boring - haven't done any since I go back from holiday - must get down those country lanes again:)

  7. The first rose of the season is special and looks good in the mug. A lovely set of photos for June's scavenger hunt, Rosie, and lots of the items were well spotted whilst out and about. Love the Vespa in the window and the museum pieces on display. Also enjoyed 'imagination'.

    1. Thanks, Linda - it took me ages to get everything this month whereas last I'd got them all halfway through the month. Perhaps it was because I'd been doing the 30 Days Wild blog too - too much time spent blogging and taking photos in June I think:)

  8. What a great selection Rosie. Pensthorpe - one of my favourite places - we visit every year - always something different to see. I love that selection of socks too - my socks are all navy (I really must be more adventurous) lol. There is nothing nicer than receiving a letter through the post (sadly emails seem to have taken over - what a shame).

    1. Thanks, Elaine. Pensthorpe is lovely so much has changed since we last visited but that must have been about 20 years ago - I used to have either black or navy socks but recently I've bought some more colourful ones with patterns on:)

  9. A most enjoyable selection, Rosie from beginning to end. Very interesting about the beads! Your bears are so sweet, and that last little crane is adorable. Loved all of your photos and interpretations of the list. On to July!!

  10. A nice varied selection of photos, the baby crane is gorgeous. Not many of us letter writers around these days! I still correspond with half a dozen people including my almost 95 year old aunt.

    1. I used to correspond by letter with my 90 year old friend but she can no longer write with her poor hands and she can hardly see now so I telephone. I correspond about family history with a 2nd cousin and send a little letter or notes in Christmas cards but mostly I use e-mail now, it is a shame really as it is so good to recieve a long letter:)

  13. Lovely interpretations this month. I was riding along on that bike with you :-) I also like posting letters just as much as I like receiving them - I've been writing to my American penpal since 1982! x

    1. Hello Julie, thanks for visiting. Yes, it is lovely to receive letters in the post rather than a short e-mail or even shorter text. Having a pen-pal in a different country is so interesting to learn about difffernt lives:)
