52 Weeks of Happy - Week Nine

I'm afraid I'm late again with this but there have been lots of little happy moments this week mainly due to the sunny weather, which seems to have abandoned us again, so here are just four little things that have made me smile this week

1. Duck on a wall by the stream at Castleton spotted on our walk up to Speedwell Cavern
2. Llamas near Alton Station on our walk from Oakamoor to Alton (see my last post)
3. Hellebore in the gardens at Felley Priory where we had lunch with friends
4. The reflection of stained glass windows on the box pews in St Edmund's Church, Castleton

I'll tell you more about our walk at Castleton and our visit to Felley Priory in later posts.

Link to the blog where  '52 weeks of Happy' started. Each week you find just four things that have made you happy to share.

  1. You have been busy! What a lovely week, I'll look forward to reading more about your visits soon. The weather certainly helped last week! Let's hope the sunshine soon returns.

I've been invited to another interview this week - following my interview in Didsbury, I got through to the second interview for that one salaried place, so I'm going to the school on Tuesday for that!

  3. What a beautiful hellebore! This really is their moment. And the (brief) sun was lovely this week; it was wonderful to feel the warmth.

    1. The sun has left us again now but it wasn't it great whilst it lasted?:)

  4. I think the reflection of the stained glass window is wonderful and I'd certainly be smiling. The ducks did it for me too. Look forward to seeing more of your walks.

    1. We had one of the ordinary hellebores in our garden for quite a few years but it has now disappeared - I guess the last two bad winters have finished it off:)

    1. Thank you, Ruth! It is of course from a song from a film called The Way we Were - 'memories light the corners of your mind' - I just changed one word:)

    1. Thanks, Linda! We didn't go into the cavern this visit I'm afraid so there won't be any photos of the inside - we didn't have enough time left on the car park to risk it:)
